If you are looking for a Horde lockpicking guide 2010, here’s a overview that will surely help you to raise your skill level from 1-400 while you are leveling your character.
Level 1-170
Start off by practicing lock-picking on the ship off the Merchant coast. It’s right in the south of Ratchet.
Once you hit character level 20, you can do your poison quest – a great opportunity to level your lock-picking skill as well.
In this area you will also find dozens of humanoids, mostly pirates of some sort. Whenever you get the chance, pick their pockets in order to get as many lockboxes as possible and pick them as well.
This way you should be able to boost your skill up to 150-170.
Level 150-255
One option to level your skill up is to visit Desolace. Off the shore in the northwest you can find Mossy and Waterlogged Footlockers. The coordinates are 36/11 and 37/21. Since the Footlockers are waiting underwater you should get some Waterbreathing potions!
Around the Angorn Fortress in the Badlands you can find Dented and Battered Footlockers – the second option to raise your skill to 225.
Level 225-250
Your next stop is the Searing Gorge: Run down the Slag Pit and pick as many Footlockers as you need to get level 250.
Level 250-300
In my opinion, the best way to level your skill at this level is Tyr’s Hand. Circle around the area and pickpocket the mobs for Scarlet Footlockers.
Level 300-375
Head over to the Zangarmarsh and right to the Feralfen Village in the south of Coilfang. You will find three little villages and every village has some huts with enough chests for you to pick. While you are in the area, my Horde lockpicking guide 2010 recommends you to pickpocket the enemies for Strong Junkboxes, too.
Level 350-400
When you finally reach this level, the best way to get the last remaining skill points is picking the pockets of every humanoid mob you come across. If you do this, hitting your skill cap should be a piece of cake!
